To promote and protect the delivery of health care services in SA to meet the needs of the SA community; and
To oppose cuts made in the 2014 federal budget that will adversely impact on both SA public sector health services and those other measures that will affect cost and access to services offered by non government providers, in primary care particularly:
- Cuts arising from the Commonwealth’s unilateral termination of the health reform agreement which will particularly and progressively significantly reduce available public hospital funding; and
- Termination of partnership and reform agreement payments that will affect the delivery of services across the health system from 1 July 2014; and
- Changes in the budget that will affect the charges and co-payments in order to access health services and prescriptions.
